2. Role of TransactBridge

Depending on the service offering and jurisdiction, TransactBridge may act as:

  • a technology service provider
  • a payment facilitator or intermediary
  • a platform enabling merchants to accept payments

TransactBridge does not typically act as the merchant of record unless explicitly specified in a separate agreement.

3. Role of Financial Partners

Payment processing, authorization, clearing, settlement, and fund safeguarding are performed by licensed financial institutions, acquiring banks, and payment processors.

These partners may include:

  • acquiring banks
  • card networks (e.g., Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
  • regulated payment service providers

Such institutions are responsible for handling regulated financial activities in accordance with applicable laws.

4. Flow of Funds

When a customer makes a payment to a merchant using TransactBridge:

  1. The payment is processed through relevant payment networks and financial institutions
  2. Funds are received and settled through regulated partners
  3. Funds are subsequently transferred to the merchant in accordance with applicable agreements

TransactBridge may facilitate this process but does not independently hold funds as a regulated deposit institution unless otherwise specified.

5. No Custodial Relationship

Unless explicitly stated:

  • TransactBridge does not act as a custodian of customer funds
  • Funds are held, processed, or safeguarded by regulated financial institutions

Users acknowledge that such institutions may have independent rights and obligations in relation to the processing of payments.

6. Licensing and Regulatory Status

TransactBridge operates in multiple jurisdictions and may:

  • rely on licensed financial partners to provide regulated services
  • operate under applicable exemptions where permitted
  • provide services that do not require direct licensing

Where required, specific services may be subject to additional regulatory disclosures.
