1. Introduction

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) sets out the rules governing the use of the services provided by TransactBridge (“TransactBridge”, “we”, “our”, or “us”).

This Policy applies to all users of the TransactBridge platform, including:

  • Merchants
  • Developers
  • Platform partners
  • Customers and end users

By accessing or using TransactBridge’s services, users agree to comply with this Acceptable Use Policy, as well as our Terms of Service, Merchant Terms, and other applicable policies.

This Policy is designed to ensure that TransactBridge’s platform is used in a lawful, secure, and responsible manner and in compliance with applicable laws, financial regulations, and card network requirements.

2. Compliance with Laws

Users of TransactBridge services must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to:

  • Financial and payment regulations
  • Anti-money laundering (AML) laws
  • Counter-terrorist financing laws
  • Consumer protection laws
  • Data protection and privacy laws
  • Sanctions and export control regulations

Users must not use TransactBridge services in any way that violates applicable law or regulatory requirements.

3. Prohibited Activities

Users may not use TransactBridge services to engage in, facilitate, or support any unlawful, harmful, deceptive, or fraudulent activity.

Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to:

Fraudulent Activities

  • Payment fraud or transaction laundering
  • Identity theft or impersonation
  • Phishing or deceptive schemes
  • Manipulating transactions or payment flows
  • Unauthorized card testing or enumeration

Illegal Goods or Services

Using the platform to sell or distribute goods or services that are illegal under applicable law.

Money Laundering

Activities designed to conceal the origin of funds, evade regulatory obligations, or facilitate financial crime.

Circumvention of Platform Controls

Attempting to bypass or circumvent TransactBridge security measures, risk controls, compliance procedures, or transaction monitoring systems.

Unauthorized Access

Attempting to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, APIs, networks, or infrastructure.

Platform Abuse

Activities that disrupt or degrade the performance or security of the platform.

Users must not attempt to circumvent or evade any restrictions set forth in this Policy, including through the use of intermediaries, misrepresentation, or structuring of transactions.

4. Prohibited Products and Services

The following products, services, and business activities are prohibited from using TransactBridge unless explicitly approved in writing. This list reflects requirements imposed by financial institutions, payment networks, and applicable laws.

4.1 Illegal or Unlawful Activities

  • Any product or service that violates applicable laws (local, national, or international)
  • Goods or services promoting or enabling illegal acts
  • Businesses explicitly prohibited by law

4.2 Adult Content and Services

  • Pornography or sexually explicit materials (including digital content, imagery, or literature)
  • Escort services, prostitution, or similar services
  • Access to or memberships for adult or illegal websites

4.3 Child Exploitation

Any material or service involving the exploitation of minors

4.4 Drugs and Controlled Substances

  • Illegal drugs, narcotics, and controlled substances
  • Drug paraphernalia
  • Products intended to circumvent drug testing

4.5 Weapons and Hazardous Materials

  • Firearms, ammunition, and weapon components
  • Explosives, pyrotechnics, and hazardous materials
  • Toxic, flammable, or radioactive substances

4.6 Counterfeit and Intellectual Property Violations

  • Counterfeit or imitation goods
  • Unauthorized or pirated digital content (software, media, games, etc.)
  • Devices designed to bypass copyright protections

4.7 Fraudulent or Deceptive Practices

  • Scams, fraudulent schemes, or deceptive business practices
  • Pyramid schemes, matrix schemes, or MLM fee collection
  • Get-rich-quick schemes or deceptive work-from-home programs
  • Miracle cures or unsubstantiated health claims

4.8 Gambling and Games of Chance

  • Lottery tickets, betting, gambling services, or related activities
  • Sweepstakes or prize-based schemes unless legally compliant and approved

4.9 Financial Crime and Unlicensed Financial Services

  • Money laundering services or facilitation
  • Unlicensed money service businesses (MSBs), remittance, or exchange services
  • Unauthorized securities or investment products
  • Currency trading schemes or discounted currency sales

4.10 Cryptocurrency and Digital Assets

  • Cryptocurrency, NFTs, or virtual assets
  • Tokenized or monetizable digital credits
  • Any crypto-related activity without prior written approval

4.11 Regulated or Restricted Goods

  • Products requiring licenses without proper authorization
  • Surveillance equipment, lock-picking tools, or law enforcement gear
  • Government-issued items (IDs, passports, licenses, badges, etc.)
  • Controlled chemicals, solvents, or industrial materials

4.12 Tobacco, Alcohol, and Related Products

  • Tobacco products and related goods
  • Alcoholic beverages where restricted by law or payment network rules

4.13 Personal Data, Mailing Lists, and Marketing Tools

  • Sale or distribution of email lists, databases, or personal data
  • Bulk marketing tools enabling unsolicited communications (spam)
  • Telemarketing databases or lead generation lists

4.14 Hacking and Unauthorized Access Tools

  • Software, tools, or guides enabling hacking or unauthorized access
  • Devices designed to bypass paid services (e.g., cable descramblers)

4.15 Offensive, Harmful, or Hate Content

  • Content promoting violence, hatred, discrimination, or intolerance
  • Defamatory or abusive materials
  • Crime scene materials or items associated with criminal activity

4.16 Wildlife and Animal Products

  • Endangered species or related products
  • Live animals or animal parts (including skins, hides, teeth, etc.)

4.17 High-Risk or Non-Compliant Business Models

  • Drop-shipping businesses lacking transparency or control
  • Businesses operating in legally ambiguous or unregulated sectors
  • Websites selling medicines without proper authorization
  • Telecom-related activities prohibited by regulators

4.18 Transaction Laundering and Platform Misuse

  • Processing payments on behalf of undisclosed third parties
  • Activities likely to result in excessive chargebacks (“buy & deny”)
  • Any activity that may harm the reputation of TransactBridge or its partners

4.19 Region-Specific Restrictions

  • Activities prohibited by applicable regulators (including telecom or financial authorities)
  • Chit funds, nidhi companies, or similar schemes (unless government-approved)

4.20 Other Restricted Activities

Any activity that, in TransactBridge’s reasonable discretion or as determined by its banking partners or payment networks:

  • poses excessive regulatory, reputational, or financial risk
  • violates card network rules
  • is otherwise deemed unsuitable for the platform

4.21 Updates to Prohibited List

TransactBridge reserves the right to modify or expand this list at any time based on:

  • regulatory requirements
  • instructions from banking partners or payment networks
  • internal risk management policies

Such changes may take effect without prior notice where required for compliance purposes.

5. Payment Network Compliance

Users must comply with the operating rules and regulations of relevant payment networks and financial institutions.

This includes compliance with the rules of major card networks such as:

  • Visa
  • Mastercard
  • American Express
  • other applicable payment schemes

Failure to comply with network rules may result in account restrictions, transaction blocks, or termination of services.

6. Security Obligations

Users must take reasonable steps to maintain the security of their accounts and systems.

Users must not:

  • introduce malware or malicious code
  • conduct denial-of-service attacks
  • attempt to exploit platform vulnerabilities
  • interfere with the security or integrity of the platform

Users are responsible for protecting their account credentials and API keys.

7. Monitoring and Enforcement

TransactBridge reserves the right to monitor transactions and platform usage to detect potential violations of this Policy.

Where a violation is suspected or detected, TransactBridge may take actions including:

  • suspending transactions
  • restricting account access
  • freezing funds where legally required
  • conducting investigations
  • terminating services

Such actions may be taken to comply with regulatory obligations, legal requirements, or risk management policies.

TransactBridge reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to refuse, suspend, or terminate services to any user or merchant for activities that violate this Policy or pose regulatory, financial, or reputational risk.

8. Reporting Violations

Users who believe that this Policy has been violated may report concerns to TransactBridge.

All reports will be reviewed by the appropriate compliance personnel.

9. Policy Updates

TransactBridge may update this Acceptable Use Policy periodically to reflect:

  • changes in laws or regulations
  • updates to payment network requirements
